Demo Reel Breakdown

I.  Producer.

  1. All the artwork and animation (2 or 3 dimensional), composition, and production of this demonstration reel were completed by Fritz R. McBride.
  2. The only exception is found in the audio track of the reel; the drums and percussion were done by Eric R. Lovrien of The Broken Handle (the band I’m in).

II.  Literal Breakdown.

A.  Intro [Time: 0-22s].

  2. Ionic Pedal Wilt [time: 4-12s]: (May 2009) Demo Reel; I produced all 3D elements and animation of this shot using 3D Studio Max.
  3. OTFP Emblem [time: 13-22s]: (April 2009) Demo Reel; I produced all the 2D elements (design and animation) found in the shot using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

B.  Body [Time: 23s-2:16].

  1. Concept Art [time: 23-33s]: (December 2007) Assignment; I conceived and illustrated the characters shown using the traditional medium of paper and pencil.
  2. Storyboard Sequence [time: 34-47s]: (December 2008) Assignment; I illustrated the storyboards using the traditional medium of paper and pencil, and assembled it for animation in Adobe After Effects.
  3. 2D Animation Sequence [time: 48s-1:14]: (July 2007) Personal Work; I conceived two of the three characters found in the sequence, produced each animation of the sequence using conventional 2D animation techniques, and assembled it for animation in Adobe After Effects.
  4. 3D Character Sequence [time: 1:15-1:28]: (February 2009) A series of Assignments; I originated and produced all the modeling of each character, all compositional elements, and the animation of the shot using 3D Studio Max.
  5. Setting Sequence [time: 1:29-1:36]: (October 2008) Two Assignments; I conceived and produced both environments, along with all their 3D elements, and the animations of the shot using 3D Studio Max.
  6. Flour Sac Dance [time: 1:37-2:00]: (November 2008) Assignment; I produced all 3D elements and animation of this shot using 3D Studio Max.
  7. Music Sequence [time: 2:01-2:15]: (May 2009) Personal Work; I originated and produced all the imagery and animation of this shot using Adobe After Effects.
